How To Prevent Cancer Naturally

According to a recent study by the National Academy of Naturopathy, more people than ever before are falling prey to cancer due to increased stress, strain and unhealthy eating habits.

Healing dietary remedies for human ailments have been known for centuries, and an increasing number of nutritional scientists have conducted studies that validate these traditional remedies.

Naturopaths around the world are recommending organic food for detoxification of cancer cells.

 

Fresh foods are cancer fighting because they contain live enzymes that act as a catalyst for detoxification.

Cabbage increases the metabolism of estrogen and is useful in fighting colon cancer, carrot juice acts as an antidote to lung cancer. Beet juice has cancer fighting properties, as it is rich in sodium, potassium, phosphorus, calcium, sulphur, chlorine, iodine, iron, copper , vitamins B-1, B-2, B-6 and niacin.

 

Vitamin C, an important anti-oxidant, helps protect against cancers, heart disease, stress, it is part of the cellular chemistry that provides energy, it is essential for sperm production, and making the collagen protein involved in the building and health of cartilage, joints, skin, and blood vessels. Vitamin C helps maintain a healthy immune system, it aids in neutralizing pollutants, is needed for antibody production, acts to increase the absorption of nutrients (including iron) in the gut, and thins the blood.

Foods high in vitamin C include: Psidium guajava, Kiwi–green or yellow, Barbados Cherry, Blackcurrant, Carambola, Casimiroa, Feijoa, Guava–tropical, Mango, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Watermelon, Persimmon–Oiental, Pineapple, Raspberry, Blueberry, Rosehip, Tamarillo–red or yellow, Tomato, broccoli, spinach and lettuce.

Citrus fruit–lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange, tangerine–are high in vitamin C, unfortunately, their high acid content has negative side effects– acid build up in joints and tissue, which contributes to swollen sore joints, often diagnosed as arthritis, as well as stomach and intestine swelling and bloating. Thus, it is highly recommended to avoid citrus fruit as there are enough other fresh foods for adequate vitamin C, which have no side effects.

 

Spirulina, a species of blue-green algae, is used in juices to boost nutritional value, increase natural cancer-fighting substances. Spirulina is 60 percent all-vegetable protein, rich in beta carotene, iron, vitamin B-12 and GLA, a rare essential fatty acid.

 

Fiber-rich foods like bran, oats, barley, legumes, carrots, turnips, leafy vegetables and cabbage are highly recommended to prevent cancer. Although, wheat bran is generally the bran of choice, it is highly acidic and therefore, has the same side effects as citrus.

All these fruits and vegetables will keep your body’s immune system at top performance. 100 to 150 grams of fruit, 100 grams of raw, leafy vegetables–one fruit or 175 ml of fruit or fresh vegetable juice (not canned) is an ideal nutritional meal.

 

It goes without saying that if you are smoking or baking in the sun, these nutritional remedies are fighting an up hill battle–therefore, it is imperative that you incorporate all cancer fighting efforts. Stop smoking, stop baking your skin, etc.
